Merry Christmas to Some Thief in New York

Dec 21, 2010

Dear Computer Hacker,

I hope that you are using our money wisely. Please make sure that your children are fed, your utilities are paid, and that you buy something nice for your kids and your mother for Christmas. I'll let the phone company know that my payment is late because you needed our money more than we did. I'm sure you were relieved to find an account that had just enough money left right before Christmas. Oh, and don't worry, our bank says that it will only be 3 to 5 days before they are finished investigating and can credit it back to our account. We have enough food to last us until then, I think. It's not like my husband is the sole provider for a family of seven and working overtime and an extra job to make ends meet. Well, take care of yourself. My husband and I would love to see you soon.

Merry Christmas and God bless you!

  1. Oh no I am sorry to hear about this. :( I am visiting from the Hip Homeschool blog hop and am now following you. Hope you have a blessed Christmas and are not to stressed about this. I know eaiser said than done.

  2. Oh sorry about that. We had our credit card number stolen a few months ago. The thief went on a shopping spree to the Apple Store and Best Buy (online). It's NO fun!

    Visiting from the homeschool hop.

May the Lord bless you this Christmas season!

  3. Wow that is horrible. What a terrible time to have something like that happen to you. This happened to my husband and it was an awful feeling. Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

  4. Oh NO how did that happen??!! I hope that investigation is in tandem with the police too. Selfish, awful people to do something like that, especially right now. Ugh I will pray for you this week!

  5. Go girl, you tell em! And nice to be meet another momma raising knights!

Delighted to meet you! Hope you don't mind if I splash around to get to know you a bit. This looks like a refreshing place to dip and get drenched in goodness.

Have a joy filled, love overflow Christmas,

  6. The thief actually got our money from an ATM. The bank really can't explain it, they just said that anytime you use your debit card, you're at risk for it.

  7. I'm so sorry about this Christy -- a friend and I were JUST talking about this today, and now I read your post about it. It has me thinking about my debit card. Thank you for visiting my blog today. I hope this all gets straightened out soon!

  8. I am so sorry to hear this. I can not even imagine what you and your husband are going through or feeling right now. Praying for you guys right now.

  9. All is well, actually. They did take all but $50. Fortunately, dh's work gives the last check of the year early and it came the next day. Of course, my husband, being a cop, wants to see the bank's surveillance video. :) I'm fairly sure that it's out of his jurisdiction.

  10. oh wow. That is horrible! Praying they catch who did this to you!! Thanks for joining in the Hip Homeschool Hop!

Comments are like getting a letter in the mail...a bright spot in my day! Thank you!
